We had such a successful Homes for the Holidays campaign with intaking and finding both foster and adoptive homes for our 50 greyhounds, that we are now in need of stocking up on our kennel supplies!  Hoooo, doggie, not only were the hounds keeping the kennel volunteers busy with feeding, treating, playing, giving meds, and getting bathes; but, the hounds also kept everyone busy with cleaning, sweeping, poop scooping, and washing bowls as well! 

 

So, to help the kennel crew maintain the kennel to dog-gone good satisfaction, we're going to designate February 2010 as KENNEL SUPPLY DRIVE MONTH! 

 

So now you're asking, what does the kennel need?  Well, the kennel needs: quart size plastic bags, 13 gallon kitchen trash bags, paper towels, Neosporin©, large Milkbones© or Kirkland© Dog Biscuits, Kong© insertable treats or small dog cookies, bungee cords, hand soap, cleaners, and the ever popular Nylabone©. If you have spare collars, leashes, muzzles, and a can or so of a good quality minced dog food to use as a trick-the-dog pill induction method, we'll take that as well!
