FOSTER UPDATE: Overcoming his initial shyness, Bailey has morphed into an exuberant greeter, rolling back his upper lip and chattering his teeth, a typical greyhound greeting. Bailey is good with children but jumps when excited, so he could topple a toddler. He has shown no fear of the vacuum, traffic, or other loud noises. Bailey walks well on the leash, loves to be outside, and now enjoys his car rides without flinging drool. He is mostly housebroken but will have accidents if one of his potty times is missed. He is crated when his fosters are absent, and frequently voluntarily sleeps in his open crate at night. Gentle grooming has not been a problem, and he tolerates being bathed in the tub. He responds to his name and the commands ‘down’ ‘come’ and ‘stay.’ Bailey gives kisses, enjoys belly rubs, and prefers to ‘moonwalk’ backwards when he wants to change direction.
